TPVFD HISTORY
STATION
The home of the Takoma Park Volunteer Fire Department has been four different buildings on two different sites. The first one was built in 1895.

ENGINE
An engine, or more accurately, a pumper, was the first piece of fire apparatus bought for Takoma Park.

AMBULANCE
The ambulance has always been one of the busiest units at Station 2.

TRUCK
A ladder truck was based in Takoma Park from some of the earliest days of the department until the construction of the new station which opened in 2010.
